At St.George's Anglican Church, Patutahi, Mary Bayly De Lautour, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. D. B. De Lautour, "Waratah", Patutahi, to Ross Charles Casse, youngest son of Mr and Mrs H. P. Casse, Auckland. Best man at left is Mr W. Melville, Auckland, and other attendants are Miss Carol De Lautour (sister of the bride), Miss Elizabeth Casse (sister of the bridegroom), and Kathleen De Lautour (sister of the bride). Auckland will be future home of newlyweds.

On September 4, at the Catholic Church at Makauri, Mary Laddie Andreir, daughter of Mr and Mrs O. D. Andrew, Makauri, to Peter James Gordon, son of Mrs J. L. and the late Mr Gordon, Anaura Bay. Wedding was the first in the church for about 16 years. It was also the first nuptial mass in the church for at least 25 years, according to reports given "Photo News". Future home of the couple will be at Tolaga Bay.
