Paper is baled and sent to Whakatane, where it is repulped and used in manufacture of carton and card board. About 70 Girl Guides and Rangers take part in the collection, assisted by boys, and seven or eight trucks are used. At the depot, two-score adult helpers pack the paper into bales, ready for its journey to the mills.
