A fine new building in Karamu Street will be headquarters of the Plunket Society in the Te Hapara area now that the project has been completed. Our photograph, above, shows the scene at the official opening. At the doorway are the Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mrs H. H. Barker, Mrs Greenstreet (president of the Gisborne Plunket Society), Mrs A. H. De Costa (vice-president of the Gisborne Society and convenor of the Te Hapara Sub-Committee), and Mr H. Dudfield, Member for the District at the time. Below, a view inside the clinic room.
