Flying High Over Gisborne

Ever Looked At Gisborne From The Air?
×

In these days of air travel, a view like this is commonplace to many people, but to many thousands more the answer to the question above is still in the negative. They still have ahead of them an exhilarating and worth-while experience, even if the flight they take is only a ten-minute spin over the bay and the town. "Photo News" went up the other day, and in the first minute of flight, secured this impressive view of Gisborne from the air, with the camera pointed out the window of Mr K. Bloomfield's De Havilland Dragon Rapide, which he flew out from England earlier this year. Gisborne is fortunate in having a splendid airport close to the town, and a live Aero Club with good planes available for use of members and the public. The Dragon Rapide, for instance, seats eight people and is ideal for charter flights, which are increasing in popularity as Club's facilities become better known.
