New Bowling Club

The official opening of the Gisborne R.S.A.'s new bowling green in Wainui Road took place on November 6 in beautiful weather, when there was a large attendance of members and visitors.

The Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker (left), declaring the green open for play, With him are Mr L. Kendrew, centre delegate to the New Zealand Bowling Council, Mr E. R. Brown, centre president, and Mr A. H. Barwick, president of the club.

Members stand to attention as the club's flag is unfurled. Flag and pole were given by Mr V. C. R. Mitford.
