This sleek new coaster, the "Pateke", made its appearance in Gisborne harbour recently. The Richardson Line's latest addition, she was launched in Holland and sailed out to Auckland, arriving in September. She is at present on the run between Gisborne, Napier, Wellington and Lyttelton.
In command of the new ship is Captain S. M. Petley, who has been in command of the "Pukeko" a regular visitor here.
