A head for heights is required by this craftsman working high up on the rear wall of the Opera House. Sign advertised brand of petrol which has been familiar part of New Zealand motoring since its earliest days, but lately has been re-named, requiring huge advertising sign above to be repainted.

This new traffic island at the corner of the Esplanade and Wainui Road, combined with a compulsory stop, should solve traffic problems at a dangerous intersection.
