Junior footballers were guests of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union on the morning of the Olympians match. The "feast" included hot pies and saveloys and soda pop. Reg Sutton, professional middle-weight boxer, formerly of England, who is now resident in Gisborne. He is reported to be in solid training for a bout scheduled for the Opera House early next month.

Miss Ailsa Poole, who recently graduated from the Wellington Dental School, has returned to Gisborne and has commenced duty at the Cobden Street dental clinic.
