Beautiful weather favoured the New Zealand Junior Chamber of Commerce convention held at Gisborne this month, when more than 400 delegates assembled. Visitors, especially from the South Island, were most impressed with Gisborne's weather and with the beauty and variety of the scenic resorts nearby.

On Sunday, many of the delegates attended local churches and in some cases took part in services. In this photograph, some visitors are shown at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, including the new Dominion President of the Jaycees, Mr K. R. Mitchell, of Wellington (third from right). Mr F. N. Stace, the retiring president, and Mr P. F. Robinson the local president, took part in the service at St. Andrews.
