Interest is now mounting in the forthcoming general election, to be held next month. Our pictures show the two main candidates for the Gisborne seat, Mr Harry Dudfield (National), the sitting member, and Mr R. A. Keeling (right), the Labour candidate. Also in the race will be a Social Credit candidate, Mr E. D'Anvers. The last election saw a close contest between Mr Keeling and Mr Dudfield. (Photo, E. T. Doddrell).
