A Memorable Day

Perfect weather and the largest crowd on record combined to make the second day of the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual show one to be remembered for a long time.

After a cold and overcast first day, and in the face of ominous weather forecasts, the sun made its appearance in a cloudless sky and blazed without interruption all day, its heat nicely tempered by a pleasant southerly breeze. The public responded by turning out in force.

Climax of the show was the grand parade, featuring the cream of livestock from the Bay and further afield.

"Photo News" presents on this and the next two pages a camera's impression of the big day.
