Maori Competitions

A most successful Maori Competitions concert sponsored by the Waihirere Concert Party was held in the Opera House on September 3, when the judges included one of New Zealand's most colourful Maori personalities, Guide Rangi, from Rotorua. A high standard of Maori art and entertainment was revealed at the concert after which all concerned repaired to the Ritz cabaret for dancing and the presentation of prizes.
