A novel guard of honour greeted Mr and Mrs A. A. Rice when they left St.Andrews following their recent wedding. Members of the cycling club, of which the groom is a member, stood with raised cycle wheels. From left, the members of the wedding were: Mr T. Grantham (Wellington, best man); Miss Joycelyn Hailey (sister of the bride, chief bridesmaid); the bridegroom, a son of Mrs and the late Mr Rice, Wtgn.; the bride, Joan, daughter of Mrs and the late Mr W. Hailey, Disraeli Street; Miss Lorna Penny (Bridesmaid); and Mr I. Freeman (groomsman). Future home of the couple will be in Wellington.

A sunny day was chosen by Sarah Banna, only daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Hanna, Aberdeen Road, for her marriage to Alexander George Forbes, son of Mrs H. Ridder, Invercargill.
