Mr R. Howe, of the Gisborne Pipe Band, was on hand to pipe the happy couple from St. Andrews Presbyterian Church recently when Mary McLean, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. McLean, Glasgow, Scotland, was married to Ian Sydney Parkes, Opotiki, son of Mrs W. S. McKee and Mr S. Partes, Gisborne. Attendants on steps are the best man, Mr M. Spence, of Opotiki, and the bridesmaid, Miss Esther Allardice. Also in the party were Judy Findlay (flowergirl) and Philip Rundle (page boy).

Mr and Mrs John Proudfoot receive best wishes from the Rev, Mr. Pairbairn after their wedding at St. Andrews recently. Bride was the former Ria Graham, daughter of Mrs J. Bell, Aberdeen Road, while bridegroom is second son of Mr and Mrs E. Proudfoot, Riverside Drive. Others in the bridal party were Misses Ann and Peggy Graham, of Muramura (cousins of the bride) and Messrs John Shields and Noel Duncan (Gisborne).
