St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gisborne, which is now being enlarged and modernised. This photograph, taken some weeks ago, indicates the dimensions of the old church inside the new framework. The enlarged building, which will include the roof, foundations, and sanctuary of the old church, will seat 630, or 230 more than previously. Church was built in 1879.

"We had a lot of fun, Miss Fitzmaurice told "Photo News". "We would dearly love to do a similar tour of Australia."
