London to Gisborne

After a five weeks' trip, two members of the Gisborne Aero Club, Messrs K.G. Bloomfield and P. Rule, completed their flight from London to Gisborne on April 17. The flight was made without untoward incident in Mr Bloomfield's de Havilland Dragon Rapide.

The fliers photographed at Acukland on their arrival there. The picture at bottom right shows the plane being serviced by mechanics on the airport at Singapore.

Mr Rule is in this group taken at a Rover Scout Moot in Switzerland, which was the reason for his trip overseas. On the left is Mr Bill O'Connellf also of Gisborne while Mr Rule has the Mayor of Berne on his right.
