New Well
Water supply problems for the Okitu Co-operative Dairy Company in Gisborne were solved in January when the company struck it rich (to the tune of 5000 gallons an hour) only 19 ft. below the ground on the factory's Peel Street section. The well is only 60 yards from where an unsuccessful bore was sunk 900 feet. Above, bricking in the well.
