"Dunblane," the new Presbyterian residential home for the aged, in Iranui Road, was opened in February by the moderator of the Presbyterian Church of N.Z. (the Rt. Rev. J.L. Gray, Napier). Above, a view of the home, which is filled to capacity. During Mr Gray's visit to Gisborne he also dedicated the new memorial hall associated with St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, shown below, and laid the foundation stone of the new Te Hapara church hall in Kowhai Street. Occasion marked also the inauguration of the new Gisborne Presbytery, of which the minister of St. Andrews, the Rev. J. Kingsley Fairbairn, is the first moderator.
