Have you been inside Christ Church Cathedral recently? If you haven't, you're due for a very pleasant shock when you do. The old roof has disappeared to be replaced by a high ceiling of patterned acoustic tiles, and indirect lighting lends the gracious interior greater charm. Around the hack of the cathedral a start has been made with the foundations for the new sanctuary and choir to be built of reinforced concrete.
