Iron Duke Jubilee: A Weekend to Remember
The Iron Duke Sea Scout Troop celebrated its 50th anniversary during Labour Weekend and many former members of the troop attended. A full weekend's activities were organised by the jubilee committee, ranging from a regatta to a cabaret, A highlight for many older members was a visit to Haulashore Island, for the unveilling of a plaque in memory of many hours spent under canvas on the island, and, of course, there were quite a few convivial gallons consumed.
The last time John Scott held this trident was in 1924 when he was the original recipient of the trophy, presented by Lord Jellicoe. Mr Scott was the senior cox of the Iron Duke crew

A plea to lift the rating is made by cox John Evans, in the old boys' race. But can Bryan Stewart, Barry Gibson, Bull Bryant and Tom Hawthorne respond?
