"Ukelele Lady"

Gisborne's "pop" singer Julie Nelson is the ukulele lady in this picture. Her latest release, "Ukulele Lady", on the Kiwi label, is reported selling well all over the country.

Composer Neil Roberts of Mill Road arranged the vocal and Don Ball of Wanganui the instrumental, while the flip side is a joint effort by Neil Roberts and Mike Burton. Given sufficient "airing", this disc should hit the charts. In Gisborne, Julie's record sales equal those of Elvis Presley. To date, two of her four releases are selling overseas on the Hmv label.
