Howard Morrison "Trio"

Bad luck continued to dog New Zealand's famed quartet when they played at the Opera House last month. Even so, they gave an excellent performance as a trio when a bereavement necessitated Noel King's absence. On tour with them were Bill and Boyd with a new high in singing and performance. Able Stan Wineera dual-roled as compere and comedian.

The only feminine member of the show was disc star Kim Krueger. Newcomers to Gisborne were Jimmy Sloggett and Bob Paris with Max Merritt and his Meteors. Two packed houses were evidence of the popularity of the performers.
